The registration process for the SeekersRetreat 2012 is as follows.

Apply Online

All those who wish to attend the retreat are able to apply at the RMDT website, using the online form. There is only one way to apply. That is using the online link provided.

All applicants will be provided a 10-day window within which to apply. The last day for submitting your applications will be Monday 10th October (please do not leave your application until the last day if possible!)

Please note: EVERYONE will be able to apply online at any time until Monday 10th October.

All applications will be acknowledged by email response within 24 hours of submission. (Please check your junk mail too, and if you do not receive one within 24 hours, contact us at ebrahim@rmdt.org.nz)

Application Outcome

ALL applications will be considered before ANY decisions to accept ANYONE are made. You will be notified of your application’s outcome by email on Friday 14th October. The outcome of your application will be  one of two possibilities: “APPROVED” or “WAIT-LISTED”.

Deposit Invoice

If your notification is “APPROVED” you will also receive a Paypal “DEPOSIT INVOICE” which must be paid within 48 hours of receipt. Should the invoice not be paid within 48 hours your status will change, without any notification, to “WAIT-LISTED” as there will be many many people worthy of attending the retreat who will be on the waiting list, eager to take your place. So please pay your invoice the same day, or latest within 48 hours.

We stress: the invoice sent to you is to be paid within a 48 hour period, after which your offered place will be immediately offered to the next person on the waiting list. The invoice will be for a deposit only, as we understand that many will only be able to pay a deposit at this stage. The balance will be payable in December 2011, when you will receive your invoice to pay the balance of your retreat fee. In December 2011, you will again be sent your FINAL INVOICE and non-payment within 48 hours will mean that your place is offered to the next person on the waiting list. Please note none of the retreat payments are refundable. There are numerous reasons for this, related to administration costs, as well as the costs of the retreat itself which require your fees in full for the retreat to be even possible.

Each person must print their FINAL INVOICE receipt and must please bring a copy of this to the Retreat to make registration at the retreat easy.

Missing out on the retreat

Demand for retreat places are high. However, please note that even if you are on a waiting list, there is a reasonable chance you will be able to attend, as some people inevitably cancel. Of course, should you not be able to attend for any reason, this is from Allah Subhanhu Wa Ta’ala and we pray that He grants you an even better such opportunity in future from the many opportunities He can make possible for you and we must be grateful for whatever Good He decrees for us. This attitude must prevail throughout the registration process and while we understand the disappointment of delays due to any application process not within your control, we do not expect to receive distress emails with the level of emotion that we received earlier. All outcomes should be met with dignity, patience, and reassurance with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.

In the end it is inevitable that with such a high demand, some of us will miss out. This may be in spite of your best efforts to apply early etc. We hope that you will keep the above positive attitude in mind and re-direct your enthusiasm for learning and experiencing Islam positively to the many other opportunities available in Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere.
Dietary requests: please note that the food provided will be wholesome, locally sourced and produced food, of which the majority of food provided will be organic! We will be extremely fortunate to be eating food of such a pure and good variety. In addition, we will try to accommodate any special dietary requests and apologise in advance if your request is unable to be accommodated for any reason. Any such requests will be able to be made within the online application form.

Children

The fee for children aged 5 to 10 is 50% of the applicable adult fee. There is no charge for babies under the age of 5. The applicable ages are determined from the age of the child on the first day of the retreat – 5th April 2012.

Inclusions

The duration of the Retreat is over five nights and five days, from 5th to 10th April, 2012.
The fees charged ($550) include all of the following:
● Entry to all events and programmes offered during the Retreat
● A Retreat Handbook
● Accommodation and all meals, snacks and drinks throughout the Retreat
● All transfer transportation from dedicated pick-up points to the Retreat (on 5th April), and to dedicated drop-off points from the Retreat (on 10th April)
● Access to the Teachers and international guests for questions and discussions, except during their rest and private time.
Upon payment of the deposit, you will receive a detailed Information Kit that will provide further details of the programme, what is included and what you need to bring to the Retreat.
